**Job Title: Automated Controls Technician**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, commission, and maintain conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record in mechanical and electrical installation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install and commission conveyor equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
+ Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
+ Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams.
+ Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.
+ Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
+ Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
+ Rent vehicles as necessary for job assignments.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, preferably in the conveyor industry.
+ Knowledge of conveyor system design, installation, and maintenance.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Willingness to travel to client sites frequently.
+ Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
+ Experience with basic hand and power tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
+ PLC Knowledge and experience working with Conveyor Systems.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
+ Technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
+ Fluency in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plus.
Example of typical 60, 70, & 80 hour work week based on $33/hr:
+ 33x40= $1,320. 49.50x20= $990. **60 hour week total= $2,310 + 420 ME&I per diem $2,730 x 9(months) = $98,280/year**
+ 33x40=$1,320. 49.50x30=$1,485. **70 hour week total= $2,805 + 420 ME&I per diem $3,225 x 9(months = $116,100/year**
+ 33x40=$1,320. 49.50x40=$1,980. **80 hour week total= $3,300 + 420 ME&I per diem $3,720 x 9(months) = $133,920/year**

**Work Environment**
Employees will operate in a dynamic environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all EH&S requirements at various facilities is mandatory. The role involves standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials up to 50 lbs. Employees will also need to climb ladders and operate lifts, all while practicing proper safety per OSHA standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, Ohio.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
