**Controls Technician** _Rate: $40-$55/hr_ **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician who can troubleshoot, set up, and program building automation controls. This role is hybrid, involving some time in the office but predominantly in the field. If you have experience with programming PLCs and controls, you would be an ideal fit for this position. **Responsibilities** + Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures. + Troubleshoot, set up, and program HVAC Building Automation Controls. + Create detailed material lists from drawings and site layouts. + Start and commission systems, test, and record readings. + Maintain records of assignments and produce detailed work reports. + Diagnose and fix malfunctions by replacing or repairing controls, electric wiring, or other parts. + Comply with industry standards, safety manuals, and abide by safety rules. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in Building Automation/Controls Technician within commercial, institutional, or high-rise environments. + Experience with programming, installing, and commissioning controls. + Service HVAC experience and maintenance. + Ability to travel to site locations. + Clean driving record. + Good communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Instrumentation or electrical experience is a plus. + Good leadership skills. + Eager to learn and take pride in work. + Reliability. **Why Work Here?** We offer competitive union rates without requiring union membership, along with a host of company events such as golf tournaments, soccer teams, Christmas parties, and lake days. The role involves an 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shift, with an eight-hour workday. Occasionally, work may be required outside of regular business hours due to tenant schedules or noise restrictions.
