Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician who will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting control systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of various detectors, alarms, and analyzers.
ResponsibilitiesUse safe work practices and encourage others to do the same, following Lock Out Tag Out requirements.Participate in safety training programs and report all near misses and safety issues.Support the development of effective preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and perform them as scheduled.Determine when machines need repairs or service, and prioritize multiple issues effectively.Take an active role in requisitioning necessary parts and materials for plant operations.Communicate maintenance issues with other shifts to ensure operational continuity.Maintain safe housekeeping standards in the Maintenance Department.Stay current on plant and safety matters, participating in safety meetings.Read and understand electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems during start-up and debug.Install, maintain, repair, and calibrate various process control equipment and update associated documentation.Monitor process control systems using diagnostic software and maintain related equipment.Perform inspection and maintenance checks on all control systems.Edit PLC programs as needed and assist with electrical troubleshooting.Monitor electrical consumption and recommend cost-efficient operational methods.Why Work Here?
