Controls Engineer
Hiring: Controls Engineer Job Description The Controls Engineer will play a critical role in designing and developing software for industrial controls. This includes working with PLCs, machine vision systems, robotics, and other related equipment. You will also interpret, create, and modify electrical schematics, as well as manage the installation, start-up, testing, and debugging of equipment at customer locations. Furthermore, maintaining and developing technical documentation is a key responsibility. Responsibilities + Design and develop software for industrial controls including PLCs, machine vision systems, and robotics. + Interpret, create, and modify electrical schematics. + Install, start-up, test, and debug equipment at customer locations. + Develop and maintain technical documentation. Essential Skills + Experience in controls engineering and automation. + Proficient in software design using C#. + Experience programming PLCs. + Robotics experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. + Programming experience with PLCs and/or machine vision systems. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to independently learn and troubleshoot problems. + Willingness to travel. Work Environment The position requires working onsite for five days a week, with occasional travel. The organization is growing and had their best year in sales last year. The work environment fosters an entrepreneurial spirit with project-based work and a flexible customer base. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $57.69/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
