Controls Engineer

Job Description\"

We are seeking a Controls Engineer with expertise in automation. The role involves supporting internal equipment, which will be installed and commissioned at various sites. The ideal candidate will have over a year of experience in Controls Engineering specific to custom automated equipment.

Responsibilities:

Support internal equipment used at various sites.Program PLCs and develop HMIs.Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.Program and troubleshoot Robotics, specifically Fanuc.Regularly troubleshoot equipment on the floor.Travel up to 25% for equipment installation and commissioning.

Essential Skills:

1+ years of experience in Controls Engineering for custom automation.Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens primary, Rockwell Automation secondary).Experience with HMI/SCADA (WinCC primary, Ignition secondary).Knowledge of controls hardware including sensors, remote IO, servos, VFDs, machine vision, and barcode readers.Familiarity with industrial networking protocols such as Profinet and Ethernet I/P.Robotics experience with 6-axis (FANUC primary).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Computer Control Systems, Mechatronic Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
