We are seeking a dedicated Controls or Systems Engineer with over five years of experience to join our team. This role offers the unique opportunity to split time between hands-on fieldwork and technical system checkouts, focusing on building automation systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to identify issues and communicate solutions effectively, contributing to the growth of our operations.
ResponsibilitiesConduct field testing and troubleshooting of building automation system field cabinets.Repair and maintain communication devices, printed circuit boards, power supplies, and electronic controls.Perform point-to-point checkout of BMS and EPMS end devices using multimeters and calibrated meters.Verify sensor functionality and valve stroke and fail positions.Assist in bringing control networks online and communicate technical issues to the Lead Engineer.Maintain regular system backups and assist with system and equipment startups.Perform warranty-related service calls and maintain field markups.Create and submit daily reports to the project team and supervisor.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in controls engineering, automation, and electrical systems.Proficiency in using tools such as multimeters for system verification.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with data centers is preferred.Familiarity with AutoCAD design software.Vocational school or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or air conditioning is preferred.Knowledge of BMS and EPMS systems.Work EnvironmentThe role involves site work at data centers located in Manassas, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08/hr.
