We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controls Engineer to support production at a major automotive plant in Kentucky. The ideal candidate will act as a project manager on the controls side, ensuring that all supplier work is completed correctly and on time. This role requires previous experience in programming, troubleshooting, and debugging controls, though hands-on work will not be a primary responsibility. The initial phase of this role involves working onsite for 2-3 months before transitioning to the client site in Kentucky for a period of 12-18 months, with opportunities to return home every 3-4 weeks.
ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the work of other suppliers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.Act as a project manager for controls, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.Communicate effectively with suppliers, onsite personnel, and the client to ensure smooth operations.Ensure quality and precision in project execution and delivery.Support production by managing controls processes and project timelines.Essential Skills5+ years of experience with Siemens PLC for programming, troubleshooting, and debugging.Proficiency in PLC programming and supplier management.Strong project management skills, particularly in timeline management.Excellent communication skills for interaction with suppliers and clients.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with robotic cells and battery build cells.Ability to manage controls work and ensure it is completed correctly and on time.Work EnvironmentThe position involves working onsite initially for 2-3 months followed by an extended period at a major automotive plant in Kentucky. The work environment is dynamic and involves collaborating with various suppliers and client personnel. Expect periodic travel with opportunities to return home every 3-4 weeks.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
