Controls Engineer
Job Description: Controls Engineer We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the deployment and operation of Electrical Power Monitoring and SCADA systems. This position acts as a front-line technical resource post-QA/QC, providing troubleshooting and system validation support in live environments. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of control systems and logic structures to diagnose issues, validate behavior, and escalate effectively without the responsibility of writing control logic. Responsibilities + Act as a first line of defense following QA/QC for deployed EPMS and SCADA systems. + Troubleshoot system, communication, and configuration issues in live environments. + Support commissioning, startup, and post-deployment validation activities. + Assist with software installation, configuration, and upgrades. + Validate system performance against design and operational requirements. + Support HMI configuration and graphical screen development. + Identify issues related to device communications, networking, and field equipment. + Interface directly with contractors and end users in a customer-facing environment. + Document findings and contribute to as-built documentation. + Escalate complex issues to Level II/III engineers as appropriate. Essential Skills + Experience with SCADA systems. + Familiarity with Ignition Software. + Proficiency in HMI/PLCs. + Troubleshooting Low Voltage issues. + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. + 1–3 years of experience with SCADA systems, EPMS, or systems integration. + Understanding of electrical fundamentals and electrical equipment (switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.). + General understanding of control logic and code structure (no code development required). + Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with electrical power monitoring systems. + Experience in data center environments. Work Environment This role requires up to 75% travel. There will be a 6-week remote training period prior to on-site assignments. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Neenah, WI.
