Job Title: Entry Level Controls Engineer, Salt Lake City- UTAH Job Description We are seeking an eager to learn and enthusiastic Controls Engineer to join our team in executing automation commissioning and validation protocols. This role involves troubleshooting and remediating commissioning and validation non-conformances. You will collaborate with internal engineers and clients to deliver state-of-the-art control systems aimed at enhancing efficiency, product quality, and profitability in process manufacturing. Additionally, you will define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations and conduct testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems. Responsibilities + Execute automation commissioning and validation protocols. + Troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances. + Collaborate with internal engineers and clients to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing. + Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations. + Conduct testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems. Essential Skills + Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and mechanical assembly. + Ability to conduct safety analysis and documentation. + Experience with commissioning processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in mechanical, systems, automation, or electrical engineering. + Experience with on-site building. + Flexible schedule and adaptability. + Enthusiasm for learning and growth. Work Environment The position is based on a Project in Eagle Mountain, Utah, 25 minutes from Salt Lake City. We provide housing and offer long-term opportunities, including travel, internal growth, and attractive per diems for travel and bonuses. The work schedule is onsite from 7 AM to 5 PM, with an hour lunch break, totaling 60 hours per week maximum. PPE requirements include a standard hard hat with a chin strap, safety vest, gloves, glasses, and steel toe/composite boots above the ankle. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, UT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
