Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
Design, implement, and support manufacturing projects that enhance capability, throughput, yields, and capacity. Develop and deploy data-collection and IoT-based monitoring tools aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles. Generate technical documentation, cost estimates, reports, and training content to support continuous improvement efforts. Provide technical support, coaching, and guidance to internal teams and external suppliers. Monitor production KPIs, including uptime, defect rates, scrap, yields, and machine performance. Lead Root Cause Analysis and communicate findings for equipment and process failures. Support asset management, operational audits, scrap reduction initiatives, and special projects.

Strong ability in PLC programming and troubleshooting.Experience in IoT integration for data capture and analysis.Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, and value-stream mapping.Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis investigations.Proficiency in data analysis for manufacturing improvements.Experience in creating technical documentation and training materials.Understanding of EHS / LOTO protocols and machine safety.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering, or associate degree with equivalent experience.Minimum 5+ years experience in manufacturing focused on equipment programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.Proficiency in MRP systems and predictive maintenance systems.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
