Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, wiring, and configuring control panels and electrical systems according to engineering specifications and safety standards. You will integrate these systems with existing distribution center technologies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure their optimal performance through regular maintenance. Responsibilities + Install, wire, and configure control panels and electrical systems. + Integrate control panels with existing distribution center systems, including conveyors, sorters, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). + Diagnose and resolve issues with control panels, PLCs, and other automation equipment to minimize downtime. + Perform regular maintenance and inspections on control panels and related equipment. + Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. + Update technical documentation and schematics as needed. + Collaborate closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and other technicians to coordinate projects. + Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Essential Skills + Automation + Troubleshooting + Electrical + Controls engineering + PLC programming Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field. + Relevant certifications are a plus. + Minimum of 3 years of experience in control panel installation and maintenance, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. + Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Overland Park, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
