Controls Commissioning Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Commissioning Engineer to support a commissioning and validation project for a Controls OEM. This position is a 6-month contract, focusing on various aspects of controls engineering.

Responsibilities

Attend daily morning meetings per line.Support commissioning and qualification activities, including creating redlines.Troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.Collaborate with Automation Engineers and System Owners of equipment.Provide support for Vision systems, specifically Cognex.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience as a Controls Technician.Proficiency in PLC programming, including Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC.Experience with automation equipment and IO check-outs.Strong troubleshooting and electrical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate Degree preferred.Experience with equipment installation preferred.Familiarity with HMI versions and security settings.Knowledge of Rockwell versions and PLC programming languages.Understanding of PLC connection protocols.Ability to explain VLAN and VFD operations.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 45 hours per week. The position involves working on-site at a very clean and brand-new facility. Expect to collaborate with a top-tier systems integrator and controls house, providing a professional and supportive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr.
