Job Description This is a highly hands-on leadership role for a proven accounting operator who has built and scaled the close, controls, and reporting infrastructure in a B2B SaaS company. You will own the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financials while improving the systems, processes, and team needed to support the company’s next phase of growth. You will partner closely with the VP/SVP of Finance and leadership team, but this role is squarely focused on operational excellence, accounting rigor, and scalable financial infrastructure. This role is ideal for a leader who combines high standards with speed, enjoys building from imperfect systems, and takes deep ownership of outcomes. Responsibilities: - Accounting & Financial Operations ● Own the accounting function end-to-end: GL, close, revenue recognition, payroll, AP/AR, tax, and statutory reporting ● Lead and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with a bias for speed, accuracy, and predictability ● Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and strong technical accounting practices (especially SaaS revenue recognition) ● Own audit readiness and execution (financial audit, SOC2, and other compliance processes) - Systems, Process & Scale ● Rethink systems, tooling, and processes to support the next phase of growth from an AI-first perspective—and personally drive the change to completion ● Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency, accuracy, and close velocity ● Build scalable policies and documentation for accounting, controls, and financial operations ● Partner with FP&A and Finance leadership to ensure clean, reliable data flows into planning and reporting - Team Leadership - Cross-Functional Partnership We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements ● 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller ● Strong hands-on experience with: ○ Revenue recognition (ASC 606) ○ Monthly close at scale ○ Audit management ○ Multi-entity accounting ● Proven experience building or scaling accounting operations in a company in the ~$30M–$150M revenue range (or similar complexity) ● Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices ● CPA strongly preferred ● B2B SaaS experience in a venture-backed or high-growth company ● Highly proficient using AI in day-to-day work — you actively leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, improve accuracy, automate workflows, and increase the speed and quality of execution (not just curious about it; you use it).
