Controller
Description We are looking for a skilled and experienced Controller to lead financial operations and reporting for our organization in OKC, Oklahoma. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all accounting processes while driving strategic financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting principles, team leadership, and expertise in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities: • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and specialized reports as needed. • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures to ensure timeliness and accuracy. • Develop and implement accounting policies and controls in alignment with regulatory standards. • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and providing actionable insights. • Ensure proper cash flow management and contribute to long-term financial planning. • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and proper documentation. • Monitor tax compliance and support preparation of tax filings and associated documentation. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls. • Mentor and manage the accounting team, encouraging growth and collaboration across departments. • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights that support organizational objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, including supervisory roles. • Proficiency in accounting software, with preference for NetSuite experience. • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience in the oil and gas field services industry or related sectors is highly desirable.
