Controller

Based in Delta, our client is a publicly traded manufacturing company that has been in business for over 10 years. They are currently looking to add a Controller/Accounting Manager to their team. The ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 7+ years of relevant experience.
About the position
Reporting to the Owner, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounting function. Key duties include, but are not limited to:Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.Supervise daily accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.Develop annual budgets, monitor variances, and provide updated financial projections to support business planning.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.Manage and mentor accounting and finance staff, and process payroll, employee benefits, and overall cash flow management.Coordinate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and facilitate an efficient audit process.Present quarterly financial statements to the board and work on MD&A statements.Be the first point of contact for auditors, investors and tax authorities.Ad hoc duties as needed.RequirementsDesignated CPA.7+ years of accounting experience.Public company experience is an asset.Compensation and BenefitsSalary: $115,000 to $125,000.3 weeks’ vacation.Stock options.Hybrid work arrangement.Extended health and dental benefits.
