Controller
Job Description
The Controller will manage the monthly and year-end accounting close procedures, including reviewing journal entries, accruals, account balance reconciliations, and report preparation. This role will provide leadership and support for the accounting teams across the US, Ireland, and the UK. The Controller will plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset, assessing current accounting operations and providing recommendations for improvement. Additionally, the Controller will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, including sales and other statutory filings and regulatory reporting. The role serves as a key contact for external auditors and manages cash flow forecasting.
Responsibilities
Manage monthly and year-end accounting close procedures.Review journal entries, accruals, and other adjusting entries.Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls.Provide leadership and support for US, Ireland, and UK accounting teams.Oversee preparation and review of tax returns and regulatory reporting.Serve as key contact for external auditors for interim and annual audits.Manage cash flow and forecasting.Conduct ad hoc reporting and perform other duties as assigned.Essential Skills
10 or more years of related general accounting experience in a complex environment, preferably manufacturing.Proven success in hiring, training, and motivating an accounting team.Experience working with multiple entities in a multi-currency environment.CPA certification or on track for CPA.Experience with general ledger, financial reporting, and cost accounting.Skills in leading GL and closing procedures.Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 preferred.Experience with audit processes, bank reconciliation, and consolidations.Ability to lead and manage a team of 5+ individuals.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage a team with diverse personalities.Work Environment
The work environment offers high visibility within the company and the opportunity to work directly with the Canadian team for all reporting. The position involves leading and managing a six-person US accounting team, which includes four direct reports and two indirect reports (Staff Accountants, AP, AR, and Cost Accountants). The role presents a high potential for permanent placement based on the candidate's interest.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
