Job Title: ControllerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Controller to lead our finance team with professionalism and strategic insight. This role is pivotal in managing and supporting direct reports, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place across various integrated data systems.

ResponsibilitiesManage, train, and appraise the performance of direct reports.Audit, analyze, and report on statistical analyses.Execute the needs of the finance department in a professional and strategic manner.Interface with service center functional groups to evaluate the financial impact of current and future activities.Install and monitor financial controls within various integrated data systems and reporting functions.Monitor key performance indicators to identify and report trends in the business requiring review.Conduct profitability studies and cost reduction analyses for all operating areas of the facility.Coordinate the development of monthly financial statements, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating and capital plans.Oversee data systems and integration to ensure workflows meet the requirements of the finance department and GAAP.Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.Provide oversight for job costing, inventory management, and related audit control.Review and reconcile account balances and oversee billing, credit, and collections.Prepare annual departmentalized budgets.Oversee and support the payroll process.Identify legal risks and work to mitigate financial risks for the organization.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting.Minimum of 7 years of managerial accounting experience.Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Intermediate FP&A experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including MS Word, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, extensive reporting), and Outlook.Experience with ADP Payroll and ERP Integrated Accounting systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustry CRM experience preferred, such as Service Titan or SuccessWare21.Experience in the residential home service industry (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related technical trade operations).Familiarity with QuickBooks, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, balance sheet, general ledger, and cost accounting.Work Environment

The Controller will work in a dynamic environment interfacing with various departments to ensure financial efficiency and compliance. The role requires a professional demeanor and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position involves a mix of strategic oversight and hands-on financial management, leveraging advanced software tools to drive business success.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
