The Controller provides strategic leadership and direction in conformance with corporate and group policies and procedures. Controlling of SG&A cost centers, facilities & warranty groups.
**_Primary Duties:_**
+ Develop, implement, and maintain processes and controlling while adhering to US GAAP, Adient policies and SOX requirements.
+ Proactively partner with SG&A groups while supporting the directors and managers to develop and support initiatives and improve actual financial results consistent with operating plan commitments.
+ Responsible to manage the activities of 4 direct reports.
+ Support the month/quarter/year end activities as necessary.
+ Support internal and external audit activities as necessary.
+ Budgeting and forecasting of all SG&A groups and facilities group.
+ Responsible for all journal entries and final trial balance review of month end, balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
+ Support with Financial information for Capital requests.
+ Responsible for the standard roll and costing parts for all plants in America.
+ Calculates quarterly warranty reserve for Americas.
+ Calculates and coordinates the quarterly inventory variance capitalization for Americas.
+ Manages, coordinates, and maintains headcount lists and tracks approved open requisitions vs budget for the groups.
+ Support ad-hoc requests.
**_Job Specifications:_**
+ Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
+ 7 -10 year of finance and accounting background
+ Knowledge and background in accounting principles.
+ Ability to work up, down, and across the organization effectively.
+ Superior analytical, presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong organization skills with follow-through and a focus on "the details".
+ Required knowledge of financial systems such as SAP, HFM and QAD.
+ Skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
