Job Title: ControllerJob Description

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on professional to lead accounting and finance operations during a period of growth and transformation. In this role, you will oversee all core accounting functions, manage audits and tax preparation, and support financial planning and reporting for a private equity-backed aviation parts business. This high-impact role offers visibility to executive leadership and private equity stakeholders and reports directly to the VP of Finance & Operations.

ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations.Lead and manage the external audit process, including delegation and response to findings.Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Produce and analyze monthly and year-end financial statements.Lead the budgeting process, including forecasting and financial modeling.Consolidate financials from acquired entities.Manage and mentor a small accounting team of 2–3 direct reports.Build and optimize Excel-based reporting tools.Oversee fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and amortization.Continuously improve accounting and finance processes for scalability and accuracy.
Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or other degree with Master’s in Accounting or CPA.10+ years of progressive accounting experience.Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel & PowerPoint.Proven ability to communicate financial insights and present to leadership.Experience managing teams and driving process improvements.High attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in the aviation industry.Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Quantum or AvSight.Exposure to private equity environments and board-level reporting.
Work Environment

The position is on-site in Sunrise, FL, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sunrise, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

The company provides health insurance (health, vision, dental), Paid Holidays, & PTO. The Company provides a 401(k) plan with a Safe Harbor match, discretionary matching and profit sharing contributions.  The Company provides a Safe Harbor match equal to a 100% match on the first 3% of employee’s deferred compensation and 50% on the following 2%
