Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in construction accounting, job cost management, and cash flow oversight. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning across all aspects of our operations.

Responsibilities

Review and authorize Accounts Payable disbursements.Manage Payroll processing in coordination with an external payroll provider.Oversee Billing and Accounts Receivable.Perform Month-end accruals and prepare Month-end Financial Statements.Generate Internal Management Reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.Lead Annual Budgeting and Annual Financial Audits.Administer Job Cost Management and Profit Recognition.Monitor and report on Cash Flow and Treasury Management.Serve as Online Banking Administrator.Manage 401K Administration and oversee Sales Tax Administration.File Multiple State Annual Reports.Work closely with project managers and leadership to ensure financial transparency and support strategic decision-making.Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance and forecasts.

Essential Skills

Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant in the construction industry.Strong understanding of job costing, cash management, and GAAP.Proficiency in accounting software and online banking platforms.Experience with multi-state compliance and payroll systems.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Financial planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.Cost accounting and month-end general ledger experience.Finance management, tax, acquisitions, and 401k Administration.Experience in handling annual budgets and annual audits.

Work Environment

The position is based in an office environment with working hours from 9 am to 5 pm. As a small business, the environment is akin to a family startup, fostering a close-knit and collaborative atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
