We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Financial Controller with strong cost accounting experience to manage the day-to-day financial operations. This role involves direct supervision of the finance department and reporting to the CFO. The ideal candidate will play a key role in overseeing accounting processes, focusing on cost analysis, inventory valuation, and profitability reporting, while driving performance and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.Lead the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, ensuring compliance with IFRS.Produce financial statements and key management reports with insights on performance and trends.Maintain a strong internal controls environment to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.Manage budgeting and forecasting processes; monitor variances and explain key drivers, focusing on cost structures.Manage and monitor manufacturing and inventory costs; recommend improvements to cost control procedures and provide performance insights on margin.Liaise with external audits, auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as required.Monitor cash flow with 13-week cashflow forecasting and manage working capital requirements.Optimize financial systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.Support strategic initiatives and provide financial input to executive leadership.Supervise accounting staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Essential SkillsStrong leadership abilities with a collaborative and business-partnering mindset.Experience in preparation and management of the financial close process.Detailed financial analysis of financial statements.Experience in financial budget and forecast preparation.Demonstrated successful supervisory skills and a track record of leading process improvements.Incorporation of Continuous Improvement into the role to improve efficiency.Problem solver with a methodical approach and attention to detail.Strong PC spreadsheet, word processing, and electronic mail skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field preferred.Minimum five years of leadership experience preferred.Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.Minimum of five years of related manufacturing industry experience.Experience with SAP One or similar ERP system required.Experience with Power BI preferred.
Work Environment
This role operates on first shift hours and is fully on-site. The dress code is business casual, and you will be working with a team of 5 people in the accounting/finance department.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
