Job Description
Join our team as a Controller, where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting our leadership team. This is a full-time, in-office position with a direct placement opportunity. You will engage in a two-step interview process, beginning with a virtual session and concluding with an in-person interview.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and reports.Perform account reconciliations and assist with budget and monthly close processes.Conduct internal audits and maintain accounts payable documentation.Support leadership with information requests and audit processes.Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Accurately maintain the general ledger.Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and meet reporting deadlines.Respond to information requests and review financial statements.Support administrative tasks in running payroll.Essential Skills5-6 years of operational accounting experience with GAAP.Proficiency in journal entries and reconciliations.Experience with inventory accounting and ERP systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious managerial experience is preferred but not required.Experience in the furniture, appliance, or retail industry is a plus.Experience with VPASS or STORIS ERP systems is advantageous.CPA or MBA is preferred.Advanced Excel user.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
