Job Description
The controller will oversee and direct the financial segment of the business, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient management of financial resources. The role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and internal controls to support the organization’s financial health and growth objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee the financial operations of the organization.
+ Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
+ Strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and internal controls.
+ Prepare all month-end reporting and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
+ Complete weekly payroll and monthly bank reconciliations.
+ Prepare analysis for month-end.
+ Provide advice and direction to staff.
+ Prepare and execute yearly budget.
+ Act on behalf of the company to address service issues with customers.
+ Oversee the financing program for customers.
+ Work with employees to establish clear and measurable goals.
+ Assist with the company’s flat rate pricing and inventory costing.
+ Keep President informed of all activities.
Essential Skills
+ 7 years of leadership experience in accounting or finance (10 years if no Bachelor's Degree).
+ Experience working with a small or mid-sized organization of $10-20M in revenue or less.
+ Experience owning the AP/AR functions in a hands-on leadership model.
+ Experience working in the service industry (construction, landscaping, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
+ Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Any experience in a union environment.
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ TSM experience.
+ Experience leading organization through system upgrades/implementations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
Employee Benefits & CultureComprehensive Benefits Package: • 8 paid holidays• PTO depends when 30 days are up. Assuming 30 days would be by the end of July – 7 in 2024 and 12 in 2025.• Health, dental, & vision 60 days after date of hire following the first of the month. Meaning if today was day 60 then eligible as of July 1st. 3 health plans to choose from (BCBS) and 2 dental plans to choose from. • 401K after one year of employment with semi-annual enrollment.
