The Controller is responsible for leading the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning. This role supports strategic decision-making by providing timely and reliable financial insights to leadership and stakeholders.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight: Manage the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and audits to support internal and external stakeholders.Operational Management: Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.Tax and Regulatory Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis and reporting to support executive decision-making and long-term planning.Team Leadership: Guide and support finance and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align financial practices with organizational goals.Special Projects: Participate in or lead financial projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)CPA certification, (highly preferred)Minimum of 10 years in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacityPreferred experience with process improvements, system integrations etc.Ability to work across multiple departmentsStrong technical background - Advanced ExcelPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $160.00/hr.
