Description The Controller oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls. They play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and providing strategic financial guidance to sr. management. Job Responsibilities + Review and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Accurate and timely financial reports that provide insights into the company's financial performance + Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with department heads. Budgets aligned with strategic goals and accurate forecasts to guide decision-making + Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Mitigated risks of fraud and errors, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations. + Provide financial guidance to support strategic decision-making, investment opportunities, and capital allocation. Optimal utilization of financial resources to drive business growth and profitability. + Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment portfolios to optimize liquidity and maximize returns. Maintained liquidity to meet operational needs and efficient utilization of surplus funds. + Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the estimation team to foster a high-performance culture. Implement performance management system and process to set expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback. Oversee training and development to enhance team capabilities, skills, and competencies. Lead succession planning efforts to identify and develop future leaders within the department and organization. High levels of team engagement, morale, and performance, resulting in a cohesive and high-performing project management team. + Strategize and implement improvement initiatives for the Finance department. Analyze past projects to determine if original estimation was accurate by hours and material usage to improve estimating processes, systems, and procedures. Conduct market research and continuously explore alternative methodologies and sources for improvements and innovations. Finance is consistently improving in accuracy, quality, and competitive pricing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proficiency in accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards (e.g., GAAP) + Experience with financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) + Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and best financial practices + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations + Strategic mindset with the ability to think long-term, anticipate future challenges and opportunities, and develop proactive financial strategies + Ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders and sr. management + Ability to align financial objectives with overall corporate goals and objectives + Commitment to integrity, ethical conduct, and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information and decision-making + Compliance with professional standards and codes of conduct relevant to the finance profession + Knowledge of financial reporting requirements + Ability to work with all levels of personnel in a team environment + Proactive strategic thinker + Skilled at analytics, budgeting, financial planning, financial statement preparation and analysis + Ability to translate a business opportunity into a financial justification + Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting + Public Accounting Experience a plus + High degree of technical competency using various software platforms Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
