NOW HIRING: I&C Design Engineer

Our client seeking an I&C Design Engineer to lead the design efforts for both greenfield and brownfield oil & gas facilities, including pump houses and compressor stations. The successful candidate will design control panels, instrumentation layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and network architectures. This role involves the development of control narratives and cause-and-effect matrices, essential for the implementation of PLC/HMI/SCADA systems. The engineer will work with a variety of vendors, focusing on Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, with exposure to Schneider (Modicon) and AVEVA Wonderware. The position is primarily office-based, with close collaboration with programming and commissioning teams, and requires producing complete design packages from FEED through IFC, ensuring compliance with standards.

MUST HAVE:

5+ years' experience in I&C/controls design for industrial and power generation projects.Strong skills in control narratives, schematics, panel design, and instrumentation selection.Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms.Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.Working knowledge of HMI/SCADA architectures, e.g., AVEVA Wonderware.Ability to produce high-quality wiring/loop diagrams and I/O lists.Familiarity with relevant codes/standards and control system networks.Strong collaboration and documentation skills.Eligibility to work in Canada and ability to visit sites as needed.

NICE TO HAVE:

Exposure to Schneider Modicon/AVEVA configurations.Programming experience.Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.

Work Environment

This position can be based in Calgary or Edmonton. While primarily office-based, the role includes site visits as needed and support during commissioning phases.

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $165000.00/yr.
