Job Title: Control Room PharmacistJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Control Room Pharmacist to manage and oversee controlled substances while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing medication orders for accuracy, recommending therapy adjustments, maintaining patient records, and communicating with healthcare providers regarding medication-related inquiries.

ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee controlled substances, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriate dosing, potential interactions, and proper administration.Recommend therapy adjustments to physicians and facility staff when necessary.Maintain and update patient records, including medical history, lab data, and clinical notes.Address and resolve medication-related inquiries from healthcare providers.Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other care team members regarding drug-related concerns.Supervise the preparation and dispensing of medications.Maintain accurate controlled drug registers and ensure proper storage and security of medications.Participate in on-call duties as assigned.Essential SkillsPharmD degreeActive Pharmacist license in the State of OhioCompounding skillsPrior experience handling narcoticsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks reliably and efficientlyProficiency in basic math and computer applicationsAdditional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with pharmacy software systems such as Frameworks or ECMCapable of performing light physical tasks, including liftingWork Environment

The position involves working in a closed-door pharmacy during the 2nd shift, either from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM or from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. This environment offers an opportunity to grow from within and thrive in a Long Term Care setting, which is considered better than retail overall.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $133000.00/yr.

PTO, 2.31hrs/wk, 3 weeks total in the year.Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, 1%-0.25% match, 2%-0.50% match, 3%-0.75% match, 4%-1.00% match. Cap at 1.00%.

This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,OH.
