Job Description
As a Control Panel Technician, you will accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies according to drawings, written, or verbal instructions. Your role will involve inspecting and testing subassemblies, maintaining quality and safety standards, and assisting with various production tasks.
ResponsibilitiesRead and understand bill of material structure and escalate errors or discrepancies.Visually inspect components for damage and escalate issues.Assist with tasks such as packaging finished goods, material handling, and warehouse cleanup.Maintain a clean and safe work environment and participate in the 5S program.Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Communicate professionally with all stakeholders.Perform repetitive tasks and sit or stand for long periods.Possess manual dexterity to assemble parts quickly and accurately.Upload component firmware and adhere to the company's redline process.Maintain accurate accounting of project materials.Rework and repair equipment as instructed.Participate in the development of work instructions, including writing simple instructions.Use advanced tooling safely, like power tools and CableEye.Assist in developing tools/jigs to facilitate assembly processes.Operate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cables.Perform field service as needed.Navigate 3D CAD/e-drawings for assembly aid.Perform full system cold checks using schematics.Obtain high-voltage electrical safety training for hot checks.Show proficiency in the layout, routing, and termination of wires for UL 508A electrical panels.Build cables/wire harnesses conforming to IPC 620 standards.Assemble 24V safety circuits and identify improvement opportunities.Perform advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies.Take leadership roles in first article projects and continuous improvement activities.Work occasionally with the engineering department on proof of concepts.Essential SkillsMechanical assembly and cable harness assembly.Troubleshooting electromechanical assemblies.Proficiency in electrical control panels and wire harness construction.Ability to read and understand schematics/blueprints.Soldering and testing circuits.Experience with IPC 620 standards and using hand and power tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience in assembly or building.Ability to use hand and power tools and read blueprints/schematics.Experience in mechanical subassembly and fastening methods.Ability to route cables and secure wiring throughout systems.Capable of measuring dimensions for proper part clearance.Experience in verifying mechanical functionality and electrical continuity using a voltmeter.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. You will have individual workstations under construction, using hand and power tools for assembly. Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00/hr.
