Control Panel Builder
**Job Title:** **Industrial Control Panel Builder** **Job Summary** The Industrial Control Panel Builder is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control panels used in automated and electromechanical systems. This role requires the ability to read electrical schematics, follow bills of materials, and build panels in compliance with applicable electrical codes and company standards. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and experienced in industrial electrical assembly. **Key Responsibilities** + Assemble and wire industrial control panels according to electrical schematics, layout drawings, and bills of materials. + Install and terminate components including PLCs, HMIs, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, power supplies, VFDs, and terminal blocks. + Perform control and power wiring for low‑ and high‑voltage circuits (up to 480 VAC). + Ensure panels are built in accordance with applicable electrical codes and standards, including UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA where required. + Label wiring and components per drawings and company standards. + Perform basic electrical testing and verification prior to inspection or shipment. + Troubleshoot wiring and component issues and correct deficiencies as needed. + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. + Communicate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve build or documentation issues. **Required Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. + Experience assembling or wiring industrial control panels or similar electrical systems. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. + Knowledge of industrial electrical components and standard wiring practices. + Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical assembly. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with PLC‑based systems and motor controls. + Experience with VFD installation and wiring. + Ability to independently troubleshoot control and power circuits. **Physical & Work Requirements** + Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to lift and move panel enclosures and electrical components with or without assistance. + Must be able to work safely around energized equipment and follow all safety procedures. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Wayne, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
