Position Overview

Supports the Claims and Commercial Teams by preparing detailed, defensible dispute packages for submission to the client, compiling supporting documentation, developing narrative summaries, and ensuring contractual compliance.

District Overview

Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. The serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.

This role will be based in Ottawa

Responsibilities

Work with Claims, Project Controls, Engineering, and Field teams to gather documentation related to delay, disruption, changes, and cost impacts.

· Build complete dispute packages, including correspondence logs, minutes, cost summaries, schedules, and technical evidence.

· Perform timeline reconstruction and cause‑and‑effect analysis on events contributing to disputes.

· Draft narratives describing entitlement, impact, and causation under the contract terms; prepare executive summaries and briefings.

· Maintain dispute tracking systems, risk registers, and commercial logs; monitor notices and deadlines.

· Support negotiation materials and presentations; ensure consistency and traceability of evidence.

Qualifications

· Strong understanding of contract language (DB/DBFM/P3 formats preferred).

· Knowledge of construction claims, change management, cost analysis, and schedule delay principles.

· Excellent technical writing, organization, and document management skills.

· Ability to analyze large data/document sets and synthesize clear arguments.

Familiarity with common construction systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex/Unifier, P6, Bluebeam, Power BI) is considered an asset.

· This posting is specific to the OLRT Stage 2 program in Ottawa and may involve coordination with JV partners and client representatives.

Base Compensation: 80,000 - 120,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
