**Overview**
**Negotiate Contracts. Support Operations. Ensure Compliance.**
**As a Contract Specialist, You Will:**
+ Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements with contracting agencies, payors, and other healthcare partners.
+ Consult frequently with operations and other departments during the contract preparation process.
+ Gather and analyze information and data from branch personnel, regulatory departments, contracting agencies, and other sources to support projects.
+ Provide input to field management to assess operational and financial feasibility of agreements.
+ Develop original contracts, letters, and other documents to support business objectives.
+ Ensure accurate and timely entry of information into the department database and compliance with policies and procedures.
+ Interact with internal customers and other departments (Risk Management, Clinical Services, Law, Regulatory) with a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
+ Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
**About You**
**Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts in a healthcare setting
+ Experience with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
+ Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
+ Ability to work cohesively with a team, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines
+ Familiarity with payor contracts and credentialing processes
+ Knowledge of current and legally binding contractual language and terminology
+ Ability to identify, analyze, and propose solutions for problems
+ Knowledge of negotiation best practices
+ Bachelor’s Degree
**Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):**
+ Paralegal certificate
+ Prior experience in healthcare contract management
