**Job Title:** Contract & Equipment Procurement Specialist
**Location:** Calgary or Red Deer, AB
Our client is seeking a Contract & Equipment Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a Contract & Equipment Procurement Specialist, you will be part of the Technical Procurement department supporting project teams across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Description:**
+ Lead the Bid, Evaluate, and Award (BEA) cycle for both service and equipment contracts.
+ Draft, negotiate, and administer contracts, change orders, and interagency agreements.
+ Develop and execute contract and procurement strategies, including market assessments and acquisition plans for equipment and services.
+ Facilitate RFPs, Invitations to Bid, and direct negotiations for equipment purchases.
+ Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Project Controls, and other stakeholders to resolve contract and procurement issues.
**Qualifications:**
+ University degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
+ 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in equipment purchasing and contract formation for capital projects.
+ Professional certification (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) is an asset.
+ Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and equipment sourcing.
+ Proficiency in SAP/Ariba, Icertis, and Microsoft Office Suite.
