Temple, TX

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer has 24-hour, multiple shift accountability for the process results of a Production Area. The CI Engineer is a critical member of MSE implementation and is the resource for technology management of the primary manufacturing systems for the department. The Process Engineer shares responsibility with the Production Leader for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts by establishing work standards and providing coaching and feedback to associates. He/she will support daily production by systematically improving the integrity of Line Event Data Systems and documenting critical operation standards to help eliminate unplanned and reduce planned downtime on equipment.


What are we looking for?

Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply or a technical field AND/OR 5+ years experience working in TPM/MSE (Continuous Improvement) in manufacturing environmentLeading continuous improvement initiativesPrior experience leading changeProficiency in analytical and problem-solvingPrior experience using data driven insights to implement changeClear ability to relate to and motivate othersFluent in English

Preferred:

Master's degree in Engineering, Supply or a technical fieldPrior experience managing multiple projects at same timeProficient in Power BI - Creating dashboards, analyze dataPrior experience leading othersExperience POKA, WeaverBilingual - Spanish
What will be your key responsibilities?Technical representation for the value stream including insight on all unplanned line lossesPreventative follow up on all value stream technical breakdowns and escalates for support/action through the Maintenance Team Leaders or Reliability Engineers as neededProvides technical continuity for complex/ongoing issues within the value streamWorks with production and reliability leadership to analyse the unplanned technical losses of the lines in the value streamCoaching the operations/value stream team on ways of working to ensure maintenance & operational processes are followedOwn all Daily Management Systems (DMS) execution and leads the Changeover (CO), Centerlines (CL< Clean, Inspect and Lubricate (CIL)< and Abnormality Handling (AH) DMS.Conducts detailed analysis on performance data and integrates into Factory Mars Operating System (FMOS)Drives loss elimination for assigned area to include Line Loss Analysis and development of 90-day action plans to address losses and build associate capabilityLeads Autonomous Maintenance (AM) process improvement teams focused on the reduction of downtime and loss eliminationAssists Production Leaders in managing the performance of their teams through coaching and skills developmentProvide overall direction to Continuous Improvement Specialists including development and performance evaluationsChampions MSE AM deployment and all Safety and Quality standards in their area
