What you’ll be doing

As a Consultant, Conduct and Culture Risk, your responsibilities will include supporting the design and production of reports to senior management and the Board of Directors, development of conduct and culture metrics and associated thresholds, as well as the creation and maintenance of automated dashboards. You will perform research and comparative analysis on current and emerging risks, regulatory environment and industry trends and practices from a conduct/culture risk perspective to ensure risks are assessed, monitored and communicated. You will provide support to the Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) program and the Compensation Risk Review Program and other risk assessment processes. The role uses independent judgement to determine methods and approaches to work, building advisory relationships with lines of business to understand the strategic priorities and increase awareness of conduct and culture risk.

How you’ll succeed

Reporting – You will support reporting to CIBC senior management and the Board of Directors. You will work closely with teams across Compliance and the organization on joint reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. You have an eye for detail and can recognize key trends and highlight themes through reporting.

Strategic Initiatives – On occurrence, as assigned by the Director, Conduct and Culture Risk, you will participate in strategic initiatives and projects, working collaboratively with Compliance team members and enterprise stakeholders to achieve the objectives of these initiatives.

Deliver Results – You demonstrate strong research and analytical skills and attention to detail. You have the ability to summarize findings and recommendations in a concise manner.

Collaborate – You will foster strong collaboration in partnership across Risk Management and the businesses to support our capability to accurately manage and report risks. You will promote a positive working environment and “can do” attitude.

Facilitate Innovation – By thinking creatively, you will support change and the maintenance of an effective Conduct and Culture Risk program that allows CIBC to fulfill its purpose-driven mission to help make our clients’ ambitions a reality. This will include new ideas that support CIBC’s goal of being effective, efficient and radically simple. You have the ability to work in an evolving environment where processes and approach are being defined and operationalized.
