Construction Worker/General Laborer (ENTRY LEVEL)
**Job Title: General Laborer** **Job Description** The role of the General Laborer involves working as an installer, responsible for unloading furniture at job sites, staging the furniture, unpacking, and assembling it using hand tools and blueprints. Installers use a variety of hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills, to assemble workspaces. The position requires interaction with personnel and clients during installations, as well as loading and unloading trucks with materials, supplies, and tools needed for building products. **Responsibilities** + Unload furniture at the job site and stage it for assembly. + Unpack and assemble furniture using hand tools and blueprints. + Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks. + Interact with personnel and clients during installation processes. + Load and unload trucks with necessary materials and supplies. + Assist with boxing and un-boxing products for furniture assembly. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Mechanically inclined and comfortable with assembly tasks. + Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. + 6+ months of experience working with hand/power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6 months of experience as an installer, or in the construction field, or in moving or junk removal. + Must own a car and have a valid driver's license. **Why Work Here?** Employees are provided with uniforms, including pants and shirts, within the first 30 days. Additionally, a yearly boot reimbursement is available. **Work Environment** Installers report to various job sites daily or weekly and work within a corporate workspace and furniture installation company. They work in teams, alongside a trainer and lead, typically in crews of 5-10 people. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
