We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a significant commercial project in Buffalo, NY. This role requires an individual with 7-10 years of experience in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in low-income housing. The project involves the ground-up construction of a single building comprising 100-130 units with a budget of $36M.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain the master schedule to ensure the project progresses as planned.Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Foster a safe, cooperative, and productive work environment through motivation and enthusiasm.Complete daily written reports, requests for information (RFI), change orders, weekly reports, and submittals.Communicate any changes or questions to the architect efficiently.Collaborate with project team leadership to monitor costs and explain any budget discrepancies.Participate in the buyout process by providing input on subcontractors and scopes of work.Essential SkillsExperience in commercial construction management.Proficiency in managing general contractors and subcontractors.Ability to manage projects ranging from $1M to $50M.OSHA 30 certification.Proficiency in Procore software.Additional Skills & Qualifications10+ years of experience in construction management.Experience with ground-up construction projects.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in Buffalo, NY, with an office located in Larkin Square downtown. The role requires reporting to the office and visiting construction sites. Employees are provided with a gas card and truck allowance, with the potential to receive a company truck in the future. Additionally, a phone and iPad/laptop are provided to support work responsibilities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $118000.00/yr.
Responsibilities:Creating the master schedule and leads the effort to maintain and ensure that the project moves along as scheduled; ensure materials, labor, equipment, and job sites are ready when needed and contact vendors and subcontractors to ensure on time delivery of goods and servicesProvides motivation and enthusiasm to create a safe, cooperative, and productive environmentCompleting daily written reports, RFI’s, change orders, weekly reports and submittals as well as communicating any change or questions to the architectWorks closely with the project team leadership to watch all costs under their responsibility and be able to explain any budget anomaliesConsulted in the buyout process (bidding from subcontractors/vendors); provides input and opinions to the Project Team on appropriate subcontractors and on scopes of work to be performed.
