We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Construction Superintendent to oversee daily on-site construction operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The Superintendent will manage subcontractors, coordinate site activities, enforce safety standards, and serve as the primary on-site leader from project start to completion.
Key Responsibilities Site Management & OperationsOversee all daily on-site construction activities
Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, labor, and materials
Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, and local building codes
Maintain site organization, cleanliness, and productivity
Schedule & Quality ControlDevelop and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager
Monitor progress and proactively address delays or issues
Conduct daily and weekly site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
Verify completed work before inspections and turnover
Safety & ComplianceEnforce all company, OSHA, and site-specific safety regulations
Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks
Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately
Maintain site safety documentation and incident reports
Communication & LeadershipServe as the primary on-site point of contact
Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients
Lead by example and foster a positive, professional job-site culture
Resolve conflicts and field issues efficiently
Documentation & ReportingMaintain daily logs, progress reports, and manpower tracking
Review drawings, RFIs, and change orders
Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout documentation
Qualifications Required5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proven experience managing subcontractors and job-site personnel
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
Valid driver’s license
PreferredExperience with [commercial / residential / multifamily / industrial] construction
Familiarity with scheduling software (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, or similar)
CPR/First Aid certification
