Construction Safety Coordinator
Job Title: Construction Safety CoordinatorJob Description

We have an immediate opening for a motivated Safety Specialist to support general industry and construction safety projects on a part-time, on-call basis in Wilson, North Carolina or the Greater Raleigh area. This role is perfect for safety professionals looking for flexible work with the potential opportunity to transition into a full-time, permanent position based on performance, business needs, and mutual interest. ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site and off-site general safety and OSHA compliance support for construction and general industry clients.Conduct safety inspections, jobsite audits, and hazard assessments.Assist clients with implementation and compliance related to OSHA programs.Develop and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.Assist with corrective action development and prepare written reports, findings, and recommendations for clients.Maintain effective communication with clients and internal project team members.Support project managers as needed on assigned projects.Perform all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsSafety, Health & Safety, OSHA, OSHA 30, Construction, General Industry, CFR, Compliance, EHS, Safety Training.Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, industrial safety, construction safety, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to general industry and construction.Experience in manufacturing and/or construction safety environments.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Highly motivated and committed to producing high-quality work.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional certification (e.g., CSP, CHST, ASP) preferred.Ability to travel to client sites on an as-needed basis.Flexible availability to support projects on an on-call basis.Knowledge of hazard communication, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, fall protection, confined spaces, and job safety analyses (JSAs).Work Environment

The role involves working on-site at Collins Aerospace in a construction and manufacturing setting. You will have the opportunity to work in dynamic environments, engaging with various safety technologies and practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Plainville, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
