Job Description
We are seeking a Project Manager with over 5 years of experience in managing large commercial projects. This role requires proficiency in reading architectural drawings, overseeing multiple projects, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The Project Manager is responsible for guiding commercial construction projects from planning through closeout, ensuring alignment with quality standards, timelines, and budgets. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating with general contractors and field teams, managing material orders, and supporting the development of internal shop drawings. The position offers a collaborative team atmosphere, relaxed office environment, flexible scheduling, and exposure to unique commercial projects.
Responsibilities
+ Manage multiple commercial projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from $5K to $8M.
+ Review drawings, specifications, and architectural details to ensure alignment with project scope.
+ Conduct material takeoffs and prepare material orders.
+ Evaluate drawing changes and assess scope impacts.
+ Price and submit change orders following an initial ramp-up period.
+ Coordinate closely with general contractors, superintendents, field foremen, and internal teams.
+ Conduct site visits 1-2 times per week to monitor progress and resolve issues.
+ Participate in weekly Tuesday project management meetings to review project status.
+ Use Bluebeam for drawing review and markups.
+ Work within custom Excel-based spreadsheets and optimization software like Cutlist.
+ Support the development of internal shop drawings ensuring alignment with architectural plans.
+ Maintain daily communication with field teams and office staff, providing reports, documentation, and project updates as needed.
Essential Skills
+ 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
+ Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
+ Experience working with commercial general contractors.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with metal panels is beneficial but not required.
Work Environment
The position typically requires working 40-50 hours per week. There is flexibility with appointments and scheduling as long as work is completed. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Englewood, CO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
