Description
We are seeking a highly professional and self-driven Project Manager to oversee retail-focused construction projects, with a strong emphasis on banking environments, cafés, and coffee shops. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, takes total ownership of their work from day one, and is comfortable managing projects independently with minimal oversight.
This role is best suited for someone who understands the nuances of retail construction, demonstrates impeccable client-facing professionalism, and is eager to grow with a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage all phases of construction projects, from initiation through closeout.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating professionalism, proactive communication, and problem-solving.Coordinate vendors, contractors, schedules, and procurement for retail-focused spaces (bank branches, cafés, coffee shops, etc.).Maintain accurate project documentation, budgets, schedules, and reporting.Ensure all assigned tasks—large or small—are executed with ownership and attention to detail.Utilize project management software (Procore preferred) for project tracking and communication.Support and mentor junior team members as needed; participate in training as provided by the organization.Deliver Day 1 impact by confidently managing assigned projects with minimal ramp-up time.Must-Have Qualifications
Ability to self-manage without daily oversight; strong accountability and ownership.Professionalism in all client-facing and internal interactions.Willingness to take on tasks of all sizes—no job too small.5–7 years of construction experience, currently operating as a Project Manager.Experience using Procore (strong plus).Nice-to-Have Skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Broader retail project experience.Experience with corporate interiors.Desire and capacity to grow within the organization.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Newark, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
