We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in coordinating various construction activities, providing oversight, and ensuring project quality and compliance. ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and oversight to construction inspectors and assist with job site inspection as needed.Fill in for Inspector Resident Project Representatives (RPRs) on job sites when they are unavailable.Facilitate and conduct regularly scheduled construction meetings.Coordinate with contractors to schedule inspection activities and resolve design and field issues.Assist with project management for technical and cost efforts to meet deadlines and budgets.Oversee the validation of products and materials ordered for projects to verify their conformance to specifications.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for construction procedures and safe working conditions.Essential SkillsBachelor's or Technology Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Professional experience working on civil projects such as wet utilities, treatment plants, water lines, and sewer lines.Ability to read and interpret construction plan sets, project drawings, contracts, and project specifications.Proficiency in MS Word and Excel with the ability to prepare professional documents.Ability to analyze project costs, understanding of bidding, estimating, and project risk assessment.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to multi-task and carry out projects with tight deadlines.Familiarity with federally-funded infrastructure is a plus.Experience with Procore is a plus.Previous construction inspection experience.Ability to run professional meetings.Strong work ethic and organizational skills.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a mix of office and field work, providing a diverse experience. You will be part of a Construction Department comprising 28 employees. The position requires travel across the State of Indiana, including overnight trips, with mileage reimbursed at federal rates. Reliable transportation is necessary. The dress code is business casual in the office and appropriate field attire when on site.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.15 - $43.67/hr.
