Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to support Project Managers in the efficient execution of construction projects. This position is primarily office-based and focuses on the financial and administrative aspects of project management. The projects include water treatment facilities and industrial developments with pre-engineered metal buildings across the United States. In Central Indiana, our portfolio includes K-12 schools, car washes, parks and recreation facilities, National Guard projects, and renovations or additions to company headquarters. Some travel will be required.
Responsibilities
+ Support Project Managers with financial tracking, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple projects.
+ Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
+ Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements.
+ Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor communication and purchase order tracking.
+ Generate and maintain project documentation, including cost reports and progress updates.
+ Utilize project management and ERP software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, or similar) for documentation and reporting.
+ Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
+ Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.
+ 1 year of commercial construction experience, preferably in water/wastewater or K-12 environments.
+ 1 year of experience with a general contractor, subcontractor, or multifamily projects.
+ 1 year of experience with construction software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Willingness to travel.
+ Bilingual capabilities.
+ Experience with water/wastewater projects.
+ Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings.
+ Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software.
+ Experience in institutional construction.
Work Environment
This role requires working in the office five days a week, with a typical workweek ranging from 40 to 45 hours. Travel over 60 miles will be reimbursed at $0.725 per mile. Employees will have the opportunity to grow into an Assistant Project Manager role, handling their own projects

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
