Job Title: Utilities Technician
Job Description

We are seeking skilled Utilities Technicians to join our pipe crews. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes for water, sanitation, and storm drains. Technicians will engage in various tasks including digging, laying, connecting, and testing pipes, ensuring they are correctly aligned and graded. Additionally, technicians will be required to interpret blueprints and construction plans.

ResponsibilitiesUse tools to dig for pipes to run underground.Position, measure, cut, and align pipes in pipeline sections.Connect pipes using site development techniques.Check pipes for leaks and ensure proper alignment and grading.Interpret blueprints and construction plans for pipe layout and material needs.Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment at all times.Essential SkillsExperience in construction, pipe laying, and plumbing.Proficiency in digging, measuring, coupling, and clamping.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in layout, placement, testing, and backfilling for sewer, water, and drain systems.Knowledge of utility locating, design, and blueprint reading.Additional Skills & QualificationsA minimum of 2 years of experience in utilities work on a construction site is required.Experience in new construction plumbing is an asset.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
