Job Title: Construction Materials TechnicianJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Materials Technician to join our field operations team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of hands-on experience performing field testing of concrete and soils, with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety. This role is fully field-based and requires reliability, independence, and technical proficiency. Key Responsibilities + Perform on-site testing of concrete, soils, and aggregates in accordance with industry standards + Break concrete cylinders and conduct Proctor tests to ensure accurate and reliable results + Travel to local project sites with required tools and equipment to collect samples + Accurately document and report test results + Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and specifications Required Qualifications & Skills + Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testing and/or geotechnical field work + Strong knowledge of concrete inspection, soil testing, and nuclear density gauge operations + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a field environment Preferred Certifications + ACI Level I Field Technician Certification + Third-party certifications such as ICC, NICET, or TXAPA Additional Requirements + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record + Ability to pass background screening and drug testing Work Environment & Schedule + 100% field-based position + Typical work hours range from 40 to 70 hours per week + Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold + Availability for early morning shifts, including 1:00–2:00 AM concrete pours, as required Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
