Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technicianto join our Geotechnical and Construction Inspection team. This role involves working outdoors in various field conditions, performing Construction Material Testing (CMT) duties to ensure the integrity and compliance of construction materials and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Performsoil density testingusing aNuclear Density Gaugeto assess soil compaction levels.Safely handle and transport the Nuclear Density Gauge (50–75 lbs) and related equipment.Drive metal stakes into the ground to prepare for testing procedures.Collect and test samples ofconcrete and asphaltto ensure material quality.Travel to client sites throughoutIndianapolis and Central Indianato conduct field inspections.Read and interpretconstruction specificationsto determine required soil compaction percentages and other material standards.Document findings and communicate results clearly to project managers and clients.Qualifications:
Previous experience with Nuclear Density Gauges or similar testing equipment is preferred.Ability to work independently in outdoor environments and lift heavy equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Familiarity with construction materials and specifications is a plus.Why Join ?

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
