Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects. This role is highly field-focused and requires hands-on oversight of contractors performing heavy civil, MEP, utilities, demolition, decontamination, and infrastructure replacement work. The Construction Manager acts as the on-site representative, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project scope, schedule, budget, and established safety standards.

ResponsibilitiesPlan, schedule, oversee, and manage daily field activities of subcontractors with a strong focus on safety, scope, schedule, and budget.Provide GC-style oversight, administering work rather than self-performing.Assemble project team members (supervisory, clerical, engineering, safety) at project start to review job-specific schedules, health & safety requirements, and subcontractor coordination.Assign roles and responsibilities for field activities in accordance with the Project Execution Plan (PEP).Pull, manage, and execute high-risk work permits, including excavation, confined space, line breaks, hazardous energy control, and elevated work.Estimate costs of labor, materials, and equipment required to fulfill contract provisions.Collaborate with the Project Manager on development and modification of the PEP, change management, and cost, schedule, and scope updates.Serve as the primary field point of contact for contractors, answering technical and constructability questions, reviewing drawings in the field using tablets/iPads, and enforcing safety and quality expectations.Perform real-time documentation using construction management platforms (e.g., ACC, Procore), including daily reports, field notes, and photo documentation.Participate in daily coordination meetings and communicate progress, risks, and needs to leadership.Adhere to established Quality Management and Environmental Management Systems.Actively promote and reinforce a strong safety culture on the jobsite.Essential Skills5-15 years of experience in civil, MEP, industrial, environmental construction.Strong understanding of construction sequencing and planning, scheduling and durations, means and methods, safety planning, permitting, scheduling, excavation, hazardous waste remediation, contractor oversight.Proficiency with ACC and Autodesk Construction Cloud.Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.Strong computer skills with experience using construction management platforms.Excellent communication skills and ability to manage contractors in the field.Desire to work outdoors year-round overseeing active construction.Additional Skills & QualificationsPreferred Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER.CCM certification is a plus, but not required.Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to support multiple projects.Work Environment

The Construction Manager will be working out of a construction trailer on site, starting the day around 6:30 AM reviewing permits and daily work plans. The majority of the day is spent in the field, directly overseeing contractor work with exposure to all weather conditions throughout the year. The typical end of the day is around 3:00 PM, with flexibility for extended hours, outages, or weekend work as needed. Occasional on-call or weekend support is required for site conditions, such as weather-related inspections.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Bell, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.11 - $105.57/hr.
