Tractor Supply Company is currently hiring for our Summer 2026 Construction Management Internship Program at our Store Support Center located in Brentwood, TN! 

 

Our Summer 2026 Construction Management Internship is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in construction or project management by providing hands-on exposure to the planning, coordination, and execution of store construction and remodel projects across Tractor Supply’s nationwide footprint. Based at our Store Support Center in Brentwood, TN, this internship also offers opportunities to travel to active job sites, giving interns a firsthand look at how projects move from concept to completion. Over the course of the internship, you’ll gain experience across all aspects of construction project management—from administrative coordination and vendor communication to strategic planning and timeline management—while learning directly from industry professionals. With more than 2,400 stores across 49 states and 80–100 new locations opening each year, this fast-paced role offers a well-rounded, real-world experience supporting the growth of the nation’s largest rural lifestyle retailer.

Competitive hourly rate of pay   Mentorship and guidance from experienced marketing professionals  Networking and developmental opportunities to grow as a young professional   Exposure to a leading retail brand and operations  Relocation is available to eligible candidates  Potential for future career opportunities within Tractor Supply Co  Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Project Management Support: Under direct supervision, assist the Construction Management team in monitoring developers, general contractors, architects, and vendors to support construction and remodel projects while learning how contract requirements, building standards, and schedules are maintained.  Scheduling & Tracking: Support the coordination and maintenance of construction project schedules using project tracking and management tools to gain exposure to timeline management and execution strategies.  Estimating & Budget Support: Assist with budget tracking and cost documentation while learning how project budgets are developed in alignment with Tractor Supply construction standards and processes.  Plan & Scope Development: Support plan development efforts by assisting with scope of work documentation, reviewing construction plans, and helping identify potential discrepancies for escalation to leadership.  Field Exposure & Site Support: Participate in site visits alongside Construction team members to active construction environments. Travel may be required.  Pay Applications & Closeout Support: Assist with pay application processing, project closeout documentation, and post-project follow-up activities. 

   

Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's in construction management, engineering, or related field  Strong written and verbal communication skills  Ability to travel, as needed, to accompany leadership to active job sites   Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment  Ability to relocate to the Greater Nashville Area for the duration of the internship 

 

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Customer-orientation and desire to support a retail organization  Desire to build a career in construction management Working Conditions Hybrid / Flexible working conditions Varying temperatures, noise levels, and air quality may exist Frequent travel by car and plane is required. Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines Physical Requirements Sitting Standing (not walking) Walking Lifting up to 50 pounds Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for business needs.
