**Job Title: Construction Laborer / Cleaning Technician** **Job Description** Join a dynamic construction team working on a large-scale project in Lenoir, NC. This long-term project spans over two years and offers an opportunity to contribute to various general construction tasks including temporary structure setup, signage, and site cleaning. **Responsibilities** + Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction project sites. + Review jobsite needs with supervisors to fully understand work scopes as per plans and specifications. + Assist with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, and construction waste management. + Inventory supplies and communicate restocking needs. + Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations by trade employees, subcontractors, and vendors. + Understand and follow work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions. + Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and adhere to safety protocols. + Perform selected demolition and participate in subcontractor and supplier activities. + Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily. + Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed. + Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain cleanliness in dumpster areas. + Act as a spotter for heavy equipment operators. + Ensure security of equipment and work area during operations. + Identify and escalate problems to supervisors for resolution. + Track production of completed tasks. + Assist other craft workers as directed. + Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and clients. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 6 months of construction experience. + Proficiency in using power tools and reading a tape measure. + Experience with carpentry, concrete work, and hand tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to comprehend construction plans and specifications. + Strong teamwork, integrity, and leadership skills. + Effective communication skills. **Why Work Here?** This project offers a long-term opportunity with one of the top construction companies in the area, providing stability and a chance to develop your skills in a supportive environment. **Work Environment** The work environment encompasses large-scale outdoor and indoor construction sites where safety is a top priority.
