Job Title: Construction Inspector
Job Description
Join our dynamic Construction Management team as a Construction Inspector, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of Municipal Water/Wastewater Infrastructure construction projects. This position requires travel throughout the DMV area, specifically in Northern Virginia and Maryland, and involves visiting homes to meet directly with homeowners. Embrace the opportunity to work 100% in the field without a central office location.
Responsibilities
Inspect and observe construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.Identify unforeseen conditions and communicate them to supervising construction staff.Maintain accurate field notes and daily reports, tracking schedule progress for projects.Perform basic estimating and acquire field information to aid in project design.Develop and maintain professional relationships with design divisions, construction contractors, and sub-contractors.Demonstrate skills and judgment in inspecting portions of projects under the supervision of Sr construction staff.Provide supervision to less experienced inspectors.Essential Skills
1 to 3 years of inspection experience.Experience working on horizontal or civil construction projects.Strong construction, civil, wet utility, and wastewater knowledge.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Good attitude and willingness to work fully out of a car while traveling the local market (DMV).Work Environment
This role is full-time on-site and on the road, with no requirement to report to an office. You will be based in the DMV area, with leadership situated in Chicago, Illinois. Enjoy the flexibility of working independently while being an integral part of a top construction and engineering firm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Washington, DC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
