Estimator – Design Build Construction

Location: Streetsboro, OH (Local Travel Required)

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Construction & Bid Preparation

Review pre-construction documents for completeness and accuracy.Develop project‑specific scope sheets, bid forms, and bid instructions.Identify, organize, and engage qualified subcontractors for bidding.

Estimating & Cost Analysis

Perform on‑screen takeoffs, quantity assessments, and scope reviews.Utilize historical cost data, previous projects, and internal benchmarks to prepare internal estimates.

Design Build Support

Understand building systems, constructability, materials, and construction methods.Participate in design assist processes—suggesting details, clarifications, and cost‑effective solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with clients, vendors, engineers, architects, PMs, and superintendents.Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in planning and scheduling.

Documentation & Research

Read and interpret construction drawings, reports, soils/testing documentation, and specifications.Maintain contractor and supplier directories in coordination with the estimating admin.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Construction Management or a related field (Design Build experience strongly preferred).Strong understanding of construction materials, building systems, and industry methods.Experience in complex ground‑up and renovation projects.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $50.00/hr.
